1. Overview
Treatly (“Treatly”, “we”, “us”) is a social accountability app. You lock in tasks, send and unlock treats with friends, log mood and wellbeing, and coordinate plans with your circle. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using Treatly on the web or in our mobile apps, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the app, and limited technical data.

3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide and operate Treatly (sync tasks, treats, feed, mood, and plans across your devices).
- Connect you with friends you invite or accept, and show content according to your in-app privacy settings.
- Send notifications you request (task timers, treats, friend nudges, and similar alerts).
- Improve reliability, security, and product experience (e.g. fixing bugs and understanding usage patterns in aggregate).
- Comply with law and enforce our terms where necessary.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. In-app privacy controls
You can adjust some sharing in Profile → Privacy & family, including whether friends see exact mood numbers and whether burnout-style alerts may be sent to close friends. These settings are stored with your account and applied when friends view your activity.
5. Who we share information with
- Your circle: Friends you connect with can see information you share with them (tasks, treats, mood summaries, feed activity) according to product design and your privacy toggles.
- Service providers: We use trusted vendors to run the service, including cloud hosting and database providers (e.g. Supabase), file storage for media you upload, and—if you enable them—push notification services (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, Apple Push Notification service on iOS).
- Payment processors: If you use paid reward features, payments are handled by third-party processors subject to their own privacy policies.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public.
6. Storage, security & retention
Data is stored on secure servers operated by our providers. We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, legal, or operational needs. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us (see below).
7. International users
Treatly may be operated from Australia and/or other countries. Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers maintain facilities. By using Treatly, you understand that your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Export your data in a portable format where technically feasible.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your region.
To delete your account in the app: Profile → Privacy & family → Delete my account (password + type DELETE). Full steps and retention details are on our account deletion page (Google Play delete-account URL).
To exercise other rights, email us at support@treatly.me. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Children
Treatly is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. Parental mode is controlled by the adult account holder. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Third-party links & integrations
The app may link to third-party services (for example music or calendar integrations). Those services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
